On my treadmill, I walked 1.5 miles at a moderate incline as a warm-up, then I jogged 3.25 miles at a rate of 4.8 to 6.8 and also after the first mile at an incline of 1-5, then I walked 2 miles as a cool-down. Total distance was 6.75 miles, and the treadmill said that I burned 980 calories. During the first 1-1.5 miles of my jog, my knees felt very tender/sore. The last 1.75 miles of my jog my knees felt fine. My knees have felt this way for most of this year, and I think the damage is somewhat permanent. Very frustrating! |
